He was predeceased by: his parents, Marguerite Laverriere (Masse) and A. Arthur Laverriere; his wife Irene (Sirois); his son Richard Laverriere; and his siblings, Priscilla, Jacqueline Remillard, Marguerite Paquette and Norman Laverriere.
He is survived by: his brother Philip Laverriere; and his children, Michael Laverriere, Denise Laverriere, Diane Crowe (Allen) and Vicki Laverriere. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
