With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George Gott III (Biddeford, Maine), born in Portland, Maine, who passed away on January 4, 2020 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his daughters, Kelly, Kate Gott of Scarborough and Miriam Leonard; and his siblings, Terry Caroul of St. Augustine, FL and Robert Gott of Hamden, ME..

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either the National Multiple Sclerosis Society or the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland.

“Miriam, Kate, and Kelly, Jim and I are so saddened to hear of George passing. We have many wonderful memories of spending time with the Gott family. 4th of July fireworks at Breakwater, dinners at Joe's Boathouse, George's spaghetti dinners with enough sauce to feed an army! He passed on his live of animals to his girls. How many electric fences did he install to keep Hershey and Dutchess in the backyard, the notorious escape dogs. He was so proud of his daughters. We love you, Maureen and Jim”
