He is survived by: his wife Carol; his children, Kenneth Tharpe (Tina), Lori Tharpe (Lisa-Kay Folk) and Tiffany Prejean; his grandchildren, Justin Tharpe (Paige), Joshua Tharpe (Lizz), Timothy Tharpe (Kassandra), Nikia Schaffner (Katie) and Nathaniel Hussey; his great grandchildren, Paityn Tharpe, Kaden Schaffner, Kyler Schaffner and Izaiah Kelly; his stepsisters, Anne Mills of Montgomery, AL and Sue Carter of Valley, AL; his parents, Horace Tharpe and Margaret Eloise Tharpe; and his brothers, James Tharpe and Jerry Tharpe. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
