She is survived by: her friend Margaret Savignano; her niece Paula Varney Anderson; her sister-in-law Mavis Varney; her brother Roger Prince; her grandchild Massive; her children, Sheila Leavitt of Newton, MA, Judith Reed of Chelsea, ME, Stephen Leavitt of St. Petersburg, FL and Anthony Leavitt of Wayne, ME; her grandchildren, Drew Leavitt, Zachary Reed, Eben Lichtman, Taylor Leavitt, Hannah Waltz, Ariella Logan, Benjamin Leavitt, Amos Lichtman, Phebe Jacobson, Eli Leavitt and Ezra Lichtman; her great grandchildren, Asa Leavitt, Carly Leavitt, Avery Odell, Caleb Reed, Harrison Reed, Joshua Logan, Abigail Cicala, Theo Jacobson, Audrey Waltz, Zaira Lichtman and Arch Cicala; her niece Norma Prince Zimmer of Montana; and also, Pat Gregoire, Andrew Lichtman, Alec Giffen, Tracy Leavitt and Michelle Murray.

She read Silent Spring during the pandemic, somehow having missed it the first time around.
