He was predeceased by: his parents, Mildred Chase Later and Charles Foster Later; the mother of his children Geraldine Later; his former wife Jeanne Later; his siblings, George, Lorin, Leona and Gladys; his son Terry Later; and his friend Gerald "Gerry" Raymond.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Later; his sons, Stewart Jr. Later (Anna) and Douglas Later of Prospect, ME; his daughter-in-law Stephanie Fiske of Winterport, ME; and his stepchildren, Brent Britton (Marissa) and Lisa Brown (Dean) of Winterport, ME. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.
