She was predeceased by: her parents, Burt Burkeen and Ola Mae Burkeen (Ed); her daughter Elizabeth; and her son-in-law David. She is survived by: her spouse Ed Elwell; her children, Curtis (Monique), Eddie (Sally) and Kathy; and her siblings, Debbie Igo and J. M. Burkeen. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
