He was predeceased by: his parents, Emerson "Tommy" Spurling Sr. and Hildreth Wardwell Spurling; and his sister Rachel Spurling Garver. He is survived by: his wife Bette Hall Spurling; his brother Alan Spurling (Bette); his children, Jody Spurling Denz (James Denz) and Wendy Spurling Gaulrapp (David Gaulrapp); his grandchildren, Kameron, Bryce Andrews, Owen and Evi Gaulrapp; and his friends, Billy and Shirley Soukup. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
