He was predeceased by: his siblings, Franklin Walker, Ruth Robbins (Walker) and Lillian Green (Walker). He is survived by: his wife Claudia (Dunbar); his children, Michael of Ellsworth, Bruce of New Hampshire and Lynette Keane of Frankfort; and his pet Reny.

In lieu of flowers, Gus requested that donations be made to the Little River Veterinary Hospital in Northport.
