He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy M. Cross-Rooney and William Rooney Sr. A. He is survived by: his wife Linda Rooney; his children, Kimberly Colson (Cheryl Worthing), Brian Rooney (Amanda Rooney), William "Billy" Foss, Dale Haley Sr. (Sherri Haley) and Gary Haley; his great grandchildren, Lily, Evan, Cameron, Rylee, Rebecca, Parker, Benjamin, Ronni, Isla, Esme, Paige, Ivan, Charlotte, Abigail, Andrew, Archer and Nicholas Lee; his brother William Rooney Jr. (Carol Peer); his friend Richard "Dicky" Harriman; and his siblings-in-law, Franny and George (Rose). He is also survived by partner and the love of his life.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Maine Health Home Health and Hospice Sussman House who loved and provided exceptional care for Roy in his final days.
