We bid farewell to Leal MacDonald Brinegar of Bath, Maine, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on November 27, 2024 at the age of 84. Leal MacDonald touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Col. Hugh W MacDonald and Barbara Hadden MacDonald. She is survived by: her husband Willard Brinegar; her son Willard Chace Brinegar (Cushman); her grandchildren, Hadden and Chapman; her daughter Elizabeth Abaldo (EB); her grandchildren, Isabelle and Logan; her son Stewart (Kathleen); and her grandchildren, Cameron and Hadley.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Southport Junior Yacht Club Sailing Foundation (SJYCSF, PO Box 68, Southport, Maine 04576) or the Boothbay Region Garden Club (P.O. Box 113, Boothbay, Maine 04537). The family would like to express their thanks and appreciation to the loving caregivers at HillHouse in Bath, Lincoln County District Nursing and others who cared for Leal during her battle with Alzheimer's Disease.
