He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Thomas and Vestal Thomas Carder (Vanderslice); and his stepfather George Carder. He is survived by: his wife Julie Thomas (Owdom); his daughter Jennifer Larlee (Thomas); his son-in-law Arthur Larlee; his grandchildren, Shelby Anne and John William "Jack" Larlee; and his pets, Buckshot, Jimmy and Thomas.
