He was predeceased by: his parents, Erwin L. Spurling and Louise Spurling (Gilley); his sister Lena; and his brother-in-law William Wallace of Northeast Harbor. He is survived by: his wife Norma C. Wilbur; his daughter Jennifer Spurling of Hancock; his grandchildren, Ava Gibson of Hancock and Dylan Gibson of Lamoine; his stepdaughter Maria Lopez (Kevin Black); and his nephew Thomas Wallace (Allyson) of Northeast Harbor.
