He was predeceased by: his parents, Hazel Lafland (Boxwell) and Laurence Lafland; his stepbrother LeRoy Farris (Nancy); and also Raymond. He is survived by: his wife Eileen Palmer; his son Shawn (Vyana) of Richmond; his grandchildren, Lee, Kory and Tegan; his daughter Shelly Vidas (Michael); his grandson Mike Jr. of Durham; his niece Anita Farris of Bradley, Maine; his brother-in-law Ritchie Palmer (Cheryl); his nephew Eric Palmer (Amanda); his great-niece Elise; his niece Stephanie Ritterhaus (Jack); and also Avery.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Brookings-Smith (133 Center St, Bangor, ME 04401). A memorial service was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A reception was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith (163 Center St, Bangor, ME 04401).
