He is survived by: his wife Sheila A. McManus; his sons, David Messer (AnneMarie) of Bangor, Brian Messer (Mary Beth) of North Olmsted, Ohio, Mark Messer (Dawn) of Hermon and Paul Messer (Erica) of Veazie; his grandchildren, Angella Messer, Derek Messer (Brandy), Seth Messer, Jim Thom, Christina Myers (Ryan), Bob Thom, Brooke Messer, Katie Kelley Messer, Brandon Messer, Eryn Messer, Olivia Messer and Avery Messer; and his great grandchildren, Austin Messer, Taylor Messer, Ryan Messer and Peter Messer.
