He was predeceased by: his parents, Alma Grant and Willis Grant; his brother Charles; his sister-in-law Nancy Grant; and his sister Grace Kinney (Esther).
He is survived by: his wife Kay; his brother James (Nancy); and his grandchildren, Michael (Patrice) and Lynda LaCombe (Deryn). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
