He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Newton and Thelma Newton (Arabelle); his wife Sandra E. Newton (Clark); his son Michael Newton; and his sister Gloria Nadeau.
He is survived by: his sons, Dana Newton of Richmond and Dale Newton of Augusta; his brothers, Charles Whitcomb (Betsy) of Falmouth and Ronald Newton (Jill) of Manchester; his nieces, Kim Newton and Kathy Whitcomb Vorpagle; and his granddaughter Callie Newton.
