He was predeceased by: his parents, James W. and Mary Z. Murphy (Robichaud); his daughter Dorothy A. Smith; and his grandson Justin J. Ham. He is survived by: his wife Gisele A. Beaulieu Murphy (Cote) of Augusta; his children, J. Patrick Murphy (Suzanne) of Augusta, Timothy J. Murphy (Cheryl Clark) of Windsor, L. Michael Murphy (Diana) of Augusta, Barbara J. Daigle (Robert) of Auburn and Mary Kathryn Foye (Chad) of Chelsea; his sister Money McGibbon of Millinocket; his nephews, Paul Beaulieu (Marie) of Skowhegan, Peter Beaulieu of Augusta, Marc Beaulieu (Sharen) of Greenville, SC and Todd Beaulieu (Amy) of Bath; and his niece Michelle Hilton (Timothy) of Davenport, IA. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
