With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gerard C Simard (Augusta, Maine), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 7, 2024 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Gerard farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Gerard is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon C. Simard and Denise O. Simard (Gosselin); his wife Janice M. Simard (Dyer); his son Donald E. Simard; and his sisters, Theresa Thibault and Ida Gregoire.
He is survived by: his children, G. Lee Simard (Deb) of Monmouth, David R. Simard (Linda) of Augusta, Dennis J. Simard (Fran) of Chelsea, Susan M. Grant (Tim) of Augusta and Donna M. Wardwell (Tony) of China. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
