He is survived by: his parents, Stanley Hanscom and Mildred Gray Hanscom; his spouse Helen Martha McPherson; his sons, John (Kim) of Bowdoin, James (Linda) of Windham and Jeffrey (Joan) of Topsham; his sister Molly Frost (Donald) of Bar Harbor; his nieces, Nykki Frost Grindle and Paula Lamoureux of Southwest Harbor; and his nephew Tom Frost of Vermont. He is also survived by six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
