He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Charles Niskanen and Audrey Niskanen (Bartlett) of Auburn, Maine.; his wife Debbie Niskanen (Emery) of Auburn; his children, Brent Niskanen of Mechanic Falls, Bryan Niskanen of Mechanic Falls and Melanie Niskanen of Auburn; his grandchildren, Caleb Niskanen, Kaylee Niskanen and Brody Jenkins; his mother-in-law Sandra Emery; his grandparents, Eugene and Margaret Bartlett; and his brother Charles Niskanen Jr..
