He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Gatchell and Walleska Gatchell (Bansmer). He is survived by: his wife Carole Gatchell (Shaunesey); his children, Herman Gatchell Jr., Lynne Austin of Auburn, Todd Gatchell (Nancy) of Poland and Kelly Procter (David) of Tyngsboro, MA; his sister Margaret Bernhardt (William) of North Conway, NH; and his grandchildren, Ashley Wescott (Nicholas) of Falmouth, Chelsea Gosselin (Christopher) of Poland, Andrew Gatchell (Katelynn) of Hebron, Nathaniel, Benjamin and Samuel Procter of Tyngsboro, MA. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
