As Edith departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Edith may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Edith leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Josephine MacDonald and Edward "Ted" MacDonald; her husband Kenneth; and her sister Olga Carlton. She is survived by: her children, Jeffrey Kenneth Jordan (Anne) of South Portland and Kimberly Gailey (Jim Gailey) of Kittery Point; her grandson Robert Jordan (Kimberly); her great grandchild Chase of South Portland; and her granddaughter Katharine Jordan of Boston. She is also survived by many cousins, nephews and nieces.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the United Methodist Church (439 Park Ave, Auburn, ME 04210).
In lieu of flowers, Edith requested that donations be made to the Store Next Door, a fund supporting students facing homelessness in the Lewiston School system.
