Candace Cameron Alden Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Candace Cameron Alden in Auburn, Maine, born in Beverly, Massachusetts, who passed away on July 20, 2023 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John D. Cameron of Tewksbury, MA and Carolynn Parkhurst Cameron of Presque Isle, ME; and her siblings-in-law, Christopher Hooson and Donna Alden Shepherd. She is survived by: her grandchild Harper; her husband Jim Alden (Jim); her children, Caroline Alden (Rob Borden), Harper of Auburn, ME and Daniel Alden (Magda); her grandchildren, Sarina and Celia of Gorham, ME.; and her sisters, Julia Cameron (Robert Benson) of Falmouth, ME and Rosemary Hooson (Jerry Clancy) of Wakefield, MA. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
She retired from teaching in 2009 and travelled every winter after that to enjoy the beauty and warmth of St. Simon's Island in Georgia, until Covid brought that to an end in 2020.
