He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Sr. Allen and Julia Allen (Burgess); his wife Lucy Allen (Bolstridge); and his siblings, Wilmer, George, John Allen, Inez Lewis and Josephine Eberhart.
He is survived by: his former wife Marian Shaw Allen (Robinson) of Presque Isle; his children, Diana Dube (Paul) of Rockland, Linda Mills (Paul) of Tucson, AZ, Frank W. Allen (Debbie) of Mars Hill and Douglas R. Allen (Carol) of Presque Isle; his grandsons, Frank P. Allen, IV (Sari) and Travis R. Windle; his stepson Paul Robinson; and his sister Frances Clark.
