He was predeceased by: his brother Robert Bshara. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Bshara; his son John F. Bshara III; his wife Christina; his daughter Mary Bshara of Alfred; his grandchildren, Thomas, Chelsi, Lance, Mark, Kyle, Cameron, Katherine, Trevor, Jimmy and Shealyn; his great grandchildren, Phoebe and Gabriel; his siblings, Arthur Bshara (Sylvia) of Alfred and Barbara Curley (Ralph) of Sanford; and also, Mark Bshara, David Bshara (Beth) and Daniel Pushaw of Alfred. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, friends.

He was employed at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard for 13 years where he received a special award for collecting many donations for the 1990 Combined Federal Campaign.
