He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman A. Dakin and Julia Dakin (Joy); his parents-in-law, William and Mildred Hughes; his daughter Diane Joyce; his son-in-law Sheldon Crowley; his brother David Dakin; and his brothers-in-law, Billy Hughes and Pete Buttimer.
He is survived by: his wife Judith A. Dakin (Hughes); his children, Donna J. Crowley (Dakin) of Addison, Norman P. Dakin (Jackie) of Windham and Denise J. Chandler (Roger) of Hancock; his grandchildren, Keith Chandler (Lauren Joliat) of Raleigh, NC, Klaire Chandler of Salem, MA and Ashley Howard (Dakin) of Cape Coral, FL; his great grandchild Audrey Grace Howard of Cape Coral, FL.; and his sisters-in-law, Nancy Dakin, Linda Buttimer, Lorrie Hughes and Robyn Gargan (Bobby). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
