Robert C. Seckar Obituary
We are sad to announce that on April 2, 2025, at the age of 87, Robert C. Seckar of Acton, Maine passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen Seckar and Mary Seckar (Cervinek); his wife Barbara J. Seckar (Parker); his children, Peter Seckar and Barbara Seckar; and his siblings, Dorothy Elliott, Stephen Seckar and Richard Seckar.
He is survived by: his children, Patti Zarba (Sal), Susan Newsom (Barry), Jeffrey Almquist (Sandy Barrett Rideout), David Almquist (Cyndi), Philip Almquist (Shirley) and Mary Terril (Richard); and his grandchildren, Jannell Zarba (Erik Lepito), Sarah Lull (Seth), Diego Zarba (Laura Pender), Jason Fleury, Nathan Almquist (Ariel), Janice Almquist, Brian Almquist (Stacey), Charlie Almquist (Jordan), Robert Almquist (Kate Neumann), Amanda Almquist (Charles Johnston), Emily Scannell (Peter), Andrew Almquist (Trisha), Ken Almquist (Brooke), Ken Holland (Erica), Mike Holland, Dan Almquist, Kyla Terril and Benjamin Terril. He is also survived by 21 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Solimine Funeral Home - Broadway (426 Broadway, Lynn, MA 01904). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Solimine Funeral Home (426 Broadway, Lynn, MA 01904). A burial will be held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at 11:45 AM at the Pine Grove Cemetery (145 Boston St, Lynn, MA 01904).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Robert's name may be made to a charity of your choice, or a local veterans organization.
