He was loved and cherished by many people including : his father Edward F. Hammond; his wife Jane Partridge Hammond (Pepek); his children, Laura Ellum of Concord and Douglas Hammond (Heather Wren) of Lincolnville, Maine; his stepchildren, Jeffrey Partridge (Becky) of Mason and Amy Stiman of Ossipee; his grandchildren, Mairi Ellum (Mathew Timms) of Rochester, Eryn (Thostenson), Warden (Tate) of Landrum, Andi, Ian Hammond of Lincolnville, Zachary, Meredith Partridge of Mason and Molly Stiman of Augusta, Maine; and his sister Sylvia Countway (David) of Alton.
