Carol L. Curtis Obituary
Carol L. Curtis, 64, a longtime resident of Acton passed away at her home, on March 16, 2019. Carol was born on October 4, 1954 in Portland, the daughter of William and Caroline (Hale) Curtis. Carol was not only exceptionally kind, charitable and generous she believed in the importance of giving and truly lived every day paying it forward; Carol often put her own needs aside in order to help others in her community.
It was not uncommon for Carol to have various toys or games available to present to families within her community that may be enduring greater hardships than herself. Carol donated to many charitable organizations but believed greatly in the ongoing work of the Salvation Army. Carol's warm-heartedness shined when it came to her family, she took great pride in her home decorating with many of her hand-made crafts and 3-D pictures.
As Carol's sister Constance was suffering from ill health, the two sisters would share nightly phone calls praying and supporting each other, it may be fitting that both Carol and Constance passed on the same day continuing to support and love each other. Carol will be greatly missed by all that had the opportunity to spend time with her.
Carol is lovingly survived by her mother Caroline (Hale) Curtis-Clark, her two children, Winona Thomas and her wife Alexa of Waterboro, Luke LaBrecque and his wife Stacey of Rincon, GA., sister Barbara Keene of Gorham, three grandchildren as well as nine nieces and nephews. Carol was predeceased by her son William C. Thomas.
All services will remain private. In lieu of flowers, Carol's family would like you to consider the Salvation Army, 871 Main Street, Sanford Maine 04073.
