He was predeceased by: his wife Marcia Lachman; his sister Sharon Lachman; his son-in-law Mitchell Freint; and his parents, Charlotte Lachman and Herbert Lachman.

He is survived by: his children, Ginger Freint and Lee Lachman (Betty); his brother-in-law Lawrence Zawatzky (Marie); his grandchildren, Liza Freint, Louis Lachman (Amy Kroll) and Jesse Lachman (Claire); and his great grandchild Archer Lachman.
