She was predeceased by: her parents, Vernon W. Mathena and Ethelean Mathena; her sons, Keith Meekins and Steven A. Meekins; and her siblings, Vivian Leatherwood, Vernon Mathena, Jr., Barbara Harris and Mary Jane Geisler.
She is survived by: her husband Angus Dewey Meekins; her children, Denny Meekins (Joyce) and Sherri Meekins; her grandchildren, Kenny Stewart (Heidi), Melissa Farley (Tom), Jessica Landgraf, Wayde Zimmerman and Daniel Meekins; her great grandchildren, Harrison, Maxwell, Nathan, Blair, Colton and Morgan; her siblings, Breman Mathena, Charles "Doc" Mathena, Larry Mathena and Patricia Haddaway; and her daughter-in-law Sue Meekins.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory (1212 W Old Liberty Rd, Sykesville, MD 21784). A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Granite Presbyterian Church (10637 Old Court Rd, Woodstock, MD 21163).
