He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Edward and Mary Anders Potts; and his siblings, Mary Potts, Doris Fogle, Garfield, Denver, Charles Potts, Garland and Wilbur Potts.
He is survived by: his wife Sally Ann Potts; his children, Susan Custer (Wayne) of Frederick, Ann McDonald (Richard) of Walkersville and Darius Ecker (Linda) of Severn; his grandchildren, Christianne Finnerty (Ian), Matthew Proctor (Melissa), Wayne Custer Jr., Ryan Custer and Sarah McDonald; his great grandchild Maverick Proctor; and his niece LuRay Potts of Woodsboro.
The family will receive friends at Hartzler Funeral Home, 404 S. Main St., Woodsboro on Friday, Feb. 5 from 4 to 8 p. m. Wearing of masks, social distancing and limiting the number of people in the funeral home (25) at any one time will be observed. Services will be private and live streamed.
