He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack S. Bowlus Sr. and Barbara Ann Long Bowlus. He is survived by: his spouse Roseanna "Cissy" Bowlus; his children, Brandon Bowlus (Carrie) of Smithsburg and Tricia Flook (Robbie) of Middletown; his grandchildren, Laila, Brady, Kinsey, Maryn Bowlus, Dakota and Clara Flook; his siblings, Holly A. Wheeler (Kenneth) of Mt. Pleasant and Timothy D. Bowlus of Gettysburg, PA; his niece Payton Wheeler; and his nephew Nathan Wheeler.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Chapel Lutheran Church, 11109 Daysville Rd., Frederick, MD 21701.
