Sherwood Wilfredo Luis Obituary
Sherwood Wilfredo Luis, 80, passed away unexpectedly on December 18, 2021, at his home in Hanover, Pennsylvania.
Sherwood was affectionately known in the community as "Luis" and lived his final years enjoying retirement. He enjoyed daily weight training, bicycling and running. Sherwood was extremely conscious about his diet and promoted a healthy lifestyle. Sherwood, a practicing Catholic was also faithful to his Lord, praying and reading the bible daily. He attended formerly the Hanover First Church of God in Hanover, PA. and St. Johns Roman Catholic Church in Westminster, Maryland.
Sherwood enjoyed a long and prosperous career as a supervisor with Montgomery County, Maryland before retiring from the Transportation department. He was recognized often in the media for his work installing traffic signals, light poles, speed cameras and repairing pole knockdowns. Sherwood often chuckle about getting a speeding ticket mailed to him on a camera that he installed. Sherwood leaves to cherish in his memory daughter Dianne Lewis of Frederick, Maryland and two sons Andre and Mario of Maryland. Sherwood also leaves to his legacy several grandchildren, family and a host of friends that will miss him greatly.
