We are sad to announce that on September 19, 2024, at the age of 78, Joan E. Higdon of Woodbine, Maryland, born in Washington, District of Columbia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Joan departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Joan may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Joan leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Roland Provencal and Clara Louise Lawson; and her brother Gary. She is survived by: her husband Charles Higdon.
In lieu of flowers, it is Joan's request to make memorial to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, Boston, MA or the Lyme Disease Research Foundation, Lutherville, MD.
