He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph D. Maring and Bessie Pickett Maring; his spouse Ruth Ellen Hidey Maring; his child Michael D. Maring; and his sibling Harvey B. Maring.

He is survived by: his children, Mark P. and Melanie A. Maring Lundquist; his stepchild Tammy J. Perkins; his children-in-law, Patricia B. Maring and Robert H. Lundquist; his siblings, Clarence A., Richard J., Betty B. Hull and Carl E.; his grandchildren, Gennis Maring-Halmi of Naples Florida, Katelyn Lundquist, Kristyn Lundquist of Woodbine, Melissa Perkins of Baltimore and Nicholas Perkins of Baltimore; his great grandchild Marczella Halmi; and also Grace Gorsuch Maring.
