He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon L. Fernholz and Carol D. Fernholz (Rider); his wife Alaina B. Fernholz (Hnat); and his brother-in-law Craig Heck. He is survived by: his children, Erika L. Steinberg (Sven) of Florida and Shannon M. Brecht (Jim) of Brooklyn Park; and his siblings, John A. Fernholz (Tracy) of Millersville, Jennifer L. Heck of Millersville and Linda M. Bain of Millersville. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren.
