He was predeceased by: his parents, Helena Mary Barney Jones and James Joseph Jones Sr.; his significant other Diane Andrea Jones; his uncle Albert (Diane); and his niece Tiffany.
He is survived by: his children, Ayana Jones and Jaquan Jones; the mother of his child Tawanda; his daughters, Shanika, Shantel and Chardae; his sisters, Linda (late Wayne, Sr.), Angela (Milford), Deborah, Adrienne (Ben) and Geralis; and his close friends, Rick "Ike", Gary and Lou. He is also survived by nieces and nephews; twenty-one great-nieces and -nephews; a host of cousins.
