He was predeceased by: his parents, Meldred Leroy and Leona Specks-Plymouth; and his brother Wilbert Mack Plymouth. He is survived by: his wife Bernice Brooks Plymouth; his sons, Phillip Plymouth and Paul Plymouth of Baltimore, MD; his grandsons, Chandler Plymouth and Landon Plymouth of Baltimore, MD; his brother Floyd Junior Plymouth (Carrie) of Kernersville; and his sister-in-law Ester Rose Brooks-Danner of Hanover, MD.. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins, students, mentees, and friends.
