He was predeceased by: his parents, William James Winter, Sr. and Sarah J. Winter (Dunlop); his wife Elizabeth M. Winter; his son Robert Scott Winter; and his daughter-in-law Alida.
He is survived by: his children, Susan W. Trail (David) and William J. Winter, III; his grandsons, Robert Winter, Jr., Michael Winter and Nathan Trail; and his great grandchildren, Finn Winter, Magnolia Winter and Maximus Winter.
