It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Susan Rosaslie Higgins of Williamsport, Maryland, born in Mercersburg, Pennsylvania, who passed away on November 30, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Leslie Lowans and Mary Catherine Lowans (Amsley); her husband Robert L. Higgins, Sr.; her stepson David M. Higgins II; her stepsiblings, James Mills and Rebecca; her stepmother Mary Viola Lowans (Richardson); and her granddaughter Jessica Golden.
She is survived by: her children, Jerry Lowans (Sharon) of Martinsburg, WV, Douglas Higgins (Kay) of Williamsport, MD and Janelle Golden (Brett) of Clear Spring, MD; her stepson Robert L. Higgins, Jr. (Lynley) of Hagerstown, MD; and her stepbrother Charles Mills (Dorcas) of Funkstown, MD.. She is also survived by grandchildren; several step-grandchildren; great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
