He was predeceased by: his father Roy Bruce; and his sisters, Nancy Clipp and Patricia Byers. He is survived by: his wife Joan E. Byers (Butler); his children, Pam Thomas (Robert) and Mike Byers (Kelli); his grandchildren, Rhonda Pearl (Eric), Alexandra Hess (Jake), Joshua Oleyar, Adam Oleyar (Katie), Victoria Oleyar (Maxwell), Tori Ernsting (Yannick), Dustin Byers (Mandy), Jeremy Byers (Lindsay) and Kaylin Staley (Dean); his great grandchildren, Tyler Pearl, Kayley Byers, Bradley Pearl, Kaycey Byers, Stella Oleyar, Rylan Byers, Drayton Byers, Ella Staley, Nash Byers, Zoey Staley, Penelope Oleyar, Axel Staley, Daphne, Delilah Oleyar and Evelyn Ernsting; his sister Cheryl; and his brother-in-law Earl Hixon. He is also survived by his wife, children, grandchildren and friends.
