She was predeceased by: her parents, Van Dorn Sr. and Anna K. Spigler Palmer; her husband George Samuel "Buddy" Koons, Jr.; her siblings, Ada Fish, Van Dorn Palmer, Jr. and Robert Lee Palmer; and her stepbrother Raymond D. Palmer.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Anna Ralls (Joseph) of Smithsburg, MD, Richard Alan Koons (Laura) of Hagerstown, MD and Randy Lee Koons (Teresa) of Williamsport, MD; and her stepsister Sonia Hornbaker of Hagerstown, MD.. She is also survived by five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
