She was predeceased by: her parents, Staley Shafer and Florence Almeda Shafer (Gsell); her husband Jim Horning; and her siblings, Donna Lee Renner, Gregory Lynn Shafer and James V. Cassidy.
She is survived by: her children, Tina Horning, Elijah Horning and James "Rob" Horning (Kira); her grandchildren, Bryson and Anastasia; and her stepsons, Samuel Horning, James W. Horning, Jr., Jeffrey Horning and Paul Horning. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
