He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion Francis, Sr. and Clara Mae Mentzer Rickard; his wife Jane Elizabeth McCauley Rickard; his sons, James E. Rickard and Dr. Larry L. Rickard; and his sisters, Mary Cook, Grace Pate and Ruth Taylor.
He is survived by: his daughters-in-law, Suzie Rickard of Hagerstown, MD and Kathy Rickard of Martinsburg, WV; and his sister Jeanette Mae Silvers of North Carolina. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
