He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard E. Sr. Kershner and Thelma L. Trumpower Kershner; his brother John Kershner, Sr.; his nephew Jeff Beard; and his niece Wendy Sylvester.
He is survived by: his wife Suzanne Lee Kershner (Harsh); his sisters, Geraldine Beard, Dorothy Gelwicks, Vivian Moats and Mary Gelwicks; and his nieces, Stacy Beard and Krissy Yesko. He is also survived by 13 other nieces and nephews.
