He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Irven and Hulda Louise Sprecher Pittenger; and his sisters, Pamela Snyder and Sylvia Pittenger. He is survived by: his wife Lana Eileen Bailey Pittenger; his children, Kimberly D. Mills (William) of Mercersburg, PA, Kelli L. Byers (Michael) of Williamsport, MD, Kristin L. Hines of Hagerstown, MD and Matthew S. Hines (Jennifer) of Hancock, MD; his siblings, Penny Sheiss (Daryl) of Larwill, Indiana and Arthur Pittenger of Hagerstown, MD; and his brother-in-law James Snyder of Smithsburg, MD. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 4 nephews.
