He is survived by: his wife Barbara O'Brien (Smyth); his children, James O'Brien III (Yuliya Danilchenko) of Westport, CT, Jennifer Anastasio (Joel) of Killingworth, CT and Meghan Blair (Richard) of Williamsport, MD; his siblings, David O'Brien (Theresa) of Clear Spring, MD, Barbara Abernethy of Monrovia, MD and Maureen Sheridan of Lewis, DE; and his granddaughters, Aerin O'Brien and Avery Blair.
