He was predeceased by: his parents, George Willard Sr. and Margie Elizabeth Groff (Stigers); his wife Jean Irene Groff; his son John Groff; his grandson Steven Delauter; his great grandchild Rhett Corbett; and his brothers, Paul Groff and Bruce Groff.
He is survived by: his children, George Groff, III (Margaret), Debbie Groff, Paula Ditch (Terry) and Rhonda Corbett (Michael); his sister Mary Wagner (Tom); his sister-in-law Dorothy Gruber; and his grandchildren, Brad, Jordan, Lauren, Rebecca, Mary, Terilynn, Jason, Savannah and John, II. He is also survived by 18 great grandchildren; 12 great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
