She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis Gerreon and Maude Gladys Benner Giffin; her husband Ray Franklin Swope; her sisters, Pauline Norris, Hilda Breeden, Dorothy Durborow, Alice "Ruth" Stull and Armatha Durborow; and her siblings-in-law, Elizabeth Gross and Harold Swope.
She is survived by: her children, Jennie Mason Paul (Phil) of Halfway, MD, Paula J. Webb (Mike) of Boonsboro, MD, Brenda K. Swope Gigeous (Steve) of Frostburg, MD, Helen G. Wiles (Brian) of Hagerstown, MD, Vicki J. Small (Keith) of Clear Spring, MD, Terry R. Swope (Diane) of Slanesville, WV and Jeffrey G. Swope (Theresa) of Halfway, MD; her sister-in-law Janet Swope of Fairplay, MD; and her niece Glenda Norris of Keedsyville, MD. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren.
